Playing with WordPress

Thanks for visiting! If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. My blog posts useful tips, ideas, tutorials and guides for WordPress bloggers - and articles about the life on the Canadian Prairies. If you are familiar with RSS readers, just add my feeds to your reader! You can also receive updates by email if you submit your email address in the box on the right.

This used to be the title of my old blog where I presented WordPress tutorials and tips. It also served as a testbed and playground for my journey in designing web sites and blog themes. Although I didn’t plan it that way when I installed it in March 2005, it became an appreciated resource of WP tricks and tweaks. In the old location I put it up in an excited moment, when I finished my very first theme (Dark Maple) and was eager to show it off. It had been in a subfolder called “blogtest” — total lack of fantasy…

Surprisingly, it quickly became the most popular of all my blogs, especially with the growing number of WordPress users.

Now, that is was moved to this new location (and merged with another blog of mine) I plan to keep this section alive and often updated: I have a lot to share with you about my experience with the most popular blogging tool. I would suggest you to subscribe to my feeds and stay tuned!

I began to work with WordPress probably in late 2003 and started to post (at that time mainly questions) in the support forums at the beginning of 2004. Since then I have posted in more than 20,000 topics of the forum, designed many themes, used WordPress both as a blogging tool and as a CMS (content managemenet system), met great people among my clients and among the forum helpers… and made a few enemies, too.
Overall, it was a tremendous learning experience and I am grateful to all of those that gave me the opportunity to learn from them. In the future I will dedicate more time to this blog (and, perhaps, less to the support forums) but nevertheless, I will continue to share on this pages everything that is worth to know about my favourite blogging script.

Come back again!
