Hi Moshu

Yea that helped me understand way, but since I am not a coder, I have a bit of trouble finding out where in the code I shall make the changes.

Can you point me in a direction.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Jan,

You should change the conditional tags (if statements) according to this:
http://codex.wordpress.org/Conditional_Tags#The_Main_Page

Since the introduction of the frontpage and postpage options in Readings - you have to change the if code accordingly.

Hope this helps.

Hi

Thanks for you great tutorial. It saved my day, now I just need to tweek :-)

One question: I have made a page called "Blog" and directed the frontpage for the post to this menuitem. So when I press blog I get the overview and the "Blog" in the menu is highlighted. The problem is when I select a post in the blog list, the highlight on the "blog" dissapears. Any idea on how I can keep the "blog" menu item highlighted when I am on blog pages?

Take a look here: www.icon22.com/test

Best

Stephanie, that sounds nice - except that on wordpress.COM where your blog is, you cannot use any of these tutorials: they are exclusively for self-hosted WP blogs.

Oh wow I just love blogs like this. I consider myself a new user when it comes to blogging even though I have been blogging for quite some time now. I have yet to get into the formatting and coding and all that complicated stuff but thanks to blogs like this I might just do that.

Thank you so much for the great codes! You helped me solve my Wordpress problem. Just when I thought maybe I should give up creating my own layout, and then I found this post and it really helped me a lot.
