AGLOCO and the old man

Thanks for visiting! If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. My blog posts useful tips, ideas, tutorials and guides for WordPress bloggers - and articles about the life on the Canadian Prairies. Many years ago my late father told me this story once when we were talking about some potential outcomes of a project.

An old man, who was known as a non-believer, one day was caught praying.
“How comes you are praying?”, they asked.
“Well, if there is no God, it’s no harm…,” he said. “But what if there is?”

When I first read about AGLOCO that was exactly my reaction. What if?

The idea of sharing all the revenue with those that create the (warning: buzzword!) social networks seems to be something worth to think about. It even worked during the dotcom boom era. This new re-incarnation might be a better approach: they don’t promise a fixed amount, just a share of what they might make.

I figured: there is nothing to lose. I can join, try to build my network, and in the worst case scenario - that’s all. We clicked several times here and there, signed up on the site, sent out a few emails. But what if? What if I missed it and everybody else would be making money from it, except me because I was reluctant to join? Can I afford such a luxury?

You know what? I joined. You can do it, too.

Think about the wise old man…

Interesting way of seeing it. I already have an Agloco account and have high hopes for it. I’ve personally got 100+ members under my belt, hopefully at least half of them remember to download the Viewbar!

I guess I should market a bit more aggressively my Agloco link to catch up with the numbers… :)
As for hopes - I have, too.
